Blogging is dead? YOU ARE WRONG

Wednesday, October 22, 2008 - 00:16

Just because you might not use a blog or you might of had one and now you think because you are not using a blog or blogging does not mean blogging is dead. In fact blogging is only starting. The only thing that can stop blogging is net neutrality and that has not happened yet and I hope it never will for the sake of free speech.

The first reason you are wrong is because many people have things to say, and if your boring can say it in 140 characters well then you dont deserve a blog. Blogging is for those of us that has more to say than what we are doing, blogging is a form of speech, a way of sharing what and who we are.

The second reason you are wrong ( or is wrong, which ever is more appropriate) is because people make money from blogging, people sell things through blogging and blogging like many other things is part of the internet, thousands of people make money from their blogs and they are not just about to stop, just recently wired had a article about the internet dying but guess what, Wired is a blog as well and they might of been there longer than most other blogs but that does not mean its the end of blogs because less and less people write on them.

Those that close down their blogs either dont have that much to say or they have other things to do but as for blogging many people will do it whether you think its dead or not.

More and more people try and say that twitter will replace blogging, well that's a bunch of crap. Twitter is my favourite social network but in for so long and they have not found a way to make money from their service. If they dont find one soon ( a way of making money from it) they like so many other places will just close down eventually.

When Myspace first launched people said that would be the end of normal small sites, because you can just start your own mini site inside myspace. Well guess what, Myspace is long gone and there are now more blogs than myspace pages.

Blogging is long not dead. Long live free speech and blogging

Ok that wasnt the example, the example is how a blog enables you ( the blogger ) to speak and have your say.

Whatever.
